WestCall Out of Hours service, 111 Integrated Urgent Care and Emergency Department primary care streaming

£124,000 to £148,000 per annum pro rata subject to shifts worked. Salary includes allowance for annual leave. Employers National Insurance and Pension contributions (where applicable) are paid by BHFT on top of the advertised rates. Full medical indemnity cover is provided at no additional cost.

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) provide a range of primary care services across various disciplines including the very well established and respected ‘WestCall’ out of hours service, provision of GP input to the Thames Valley 111 service, community bed cover and Emergency Department streaming.

We are passionate about delivering Urgent Care in Berkshire and are looking for like-minded general practitioners to join our teams in Newbury, Reading and Wokingham.

In recognition of the changing GP workforce and the desire amongst doctors to work differently, we have created this portfolio role which allows our GPs to work a range of shifts across a variety of disciplines in a combination that works well for the team as a whole. The BHFT team is friendly, innovative, supportive and enthusiastic. Our WestCall OOH service has been established for over 20 years and has recently been shortlisted for “GP team of the year” by a well-recognised national publication. We are rated “Good” by the CQC and actively strive to be outstanding.
