Band 6 – Mental Health Practitioner - Home Treatment team - Newbury Older Peoples Mental Health Service
Newbury OPMH is officially “Outstanding” (CQC Dec 2015)! We are looking for a skilled professional who has the right skills and a positive attitude to help us maintain the high quality of service we provide for our patients. You would be joining a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team which offers regular supervision. BHFT offers excellent training opportunities
OPMH services comprise Memory Clinic, CMHT(E) and a specialist Home Treatment Team.
This post is in the Home Treatment team and would involve working some weekends, Bank Holidays and evenings on a rota. Staff usually work one weekend in four covering Saturdays and Sundays 9-3pm. HTT is a small team of qualified staff and support workers. HTT has a shared caseload of patients requiring intensive support on a short-term basis but you would also be responsible for a small caseload of community patients supporting them to live as independent a lifestyle as possible.
West Berkshire is a large geographical area with a mix of urban and rural communities and it is essential that the post holder has a car for use at work.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
