We have a permanent Part-time vacancy for Community Secretary. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to contribute to Integrated Community services; the post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the department.
The successful candidate will need to be calm and patient, with excellent telephone communication skills, proactive in solving problems and queries which you will see through to completion.
The successful candidate will need a can-do, flexible, organised approach to work. The ability to prioritise your workload and be systematic is essential. You will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.
You will have recent relevant administrative experience and excellent IT skills are essential in Microsoft Office software packages, especial Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This will be tested at interview, as well as experience of minute taking.
Hours are 21 hours a week, over 3 days to include a Friday.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
