Hours: TBC (Permanent)
Line Manager: Health Visitor Manager
Professional accountability: Locality Lead for Children and Young People’s Services
What’s special about this opportunity?
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust can provide you with a dynamic, people-centred environment, where you will be at the heart of the community, supporting local families, building trusted relationships and adopting a personalised approach to client care, following our philosophy of enabling people to reach and maintain their optimum level of health and wellbeing.
We have created a culture, through compassionate leadership and Quality Improvement, where everyone has a voice and where service users and staff collaborate to make positive change. We value our employees and put people first. We will provide you with an excellent working environment that has just been recognised with a ‘Good’ rating overall, and as an ‘Outstanding’, well-led, organisation in our latest CQC inspection, which found that: ‘Managers across the Trust promoted a positive culture that supported and valued staff, creating a sense of common purpose based on shared values.’
Working in a passionate team, you will have access to our Trust-wide Learning and Development programme and be supported in your career and personal growth with opportunities to help you to build your Continuing Professional Development portfolio. Our team will provide you with excellent training, including regular management, clinical and safeguarding supervision, enabling you to extend your skills and ensure that you excel. All new staff participate in a comprehensive induction programme and we have a well-established preceptorship programme for newly qualified health visitors.
As an enthusiastic and motivated health visitor with a passion for caring for children and families, you will have excellent communication and people skills, a warm personality and the resilience to help us enhance the health of the local community. Working across a varied caseload, you will ensure seamless delivery across a multi-disciplinary team and support colleagues in the delivery of compassionate, safe and structured care. Eager to share your knowledge when managing and mentoring more junior colleagues, you will be an advocate for patients, ensuring that their cultural and spiritual values are met. Your energy and drive will be rewarded with the support of a team that strives to create a warm, friendly and progressive environment. You will work flexibly across multiple sites and have access to your own car.
If you share our passion for people and the dedication to excel, we’d love to hear from you.

We also offer a salary car scheme and support with childcare. As a respected member of the NHS, you will receive discounts from high street retailers and restaurants.
We’d love to welcome you to our warm, friendly team, who want to help you to make your career reflect your ambitions.
