An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (0.6 FTE) administrator. The successful applicant will be providing administrative support to both the Berkshire Traumatic Stress Service and the Transition, Intervention and Liaison Veteran Mental Health Service (TILS) – South Central.

The Berkshire Traumatic Stress Service provides specialist trauma-focused treatment for individuals diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).


TILS is a multi-disciplinary team offering mental health assessment, signposting and psychological treatment to veterans and serving personnel undergoing the transition process from military to civilian life.

Applicants will be looking for a rewarding administrative post with the opportunity to hold a key role within the dynamic and friendly teams of the BTSS and TILS, joining existing administrative staff. The role has some flexibility, and would suit a candidate with the personal maturity, self-confidence and ability to be proactive in structuring their workload and liaising effectively with team members and service users on a continual basis. The post holder would be educated to GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent, and possess a NVQ Level 3/RSA3 or equivalent.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent organisational skills and possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. This role would provide a unique opportunity to gain varied experience working in services providing support for traumatised individuals and military veterans.

The post-holder will be based in the administrative ‘hub’ situated in Reading, Berkshire.
